We are looking for a Senior Golang Developer to join our exciting and growing studio in Manchester.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy software.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Support the definition and progress of team goals.
  • Have fun building great software.

In this role you can expect to
  • Ship code regularly
  • Be experimental
  • Learn new skills and work with modern technologies
  • Collaborate with a similarly forward-thinking group of engineers on technical decisions
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Write clean code and APIs. Maintain code quality with unit tests and support delivery of automated integration and E2E tests.
  • Advise junior engineers on best engineering and coding practices. Participate in design and code reviews and help with troubleshooting issues in your team’s code.
  • Work closely with quality teams, product managers and systems engineers to build, iterate, and ship new features to enhance the observability, monitoring and alerting for our industry leading cloud solution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Advanced programming language skills in Golang
  • Experience in developing Cloud platform is essential
  • Experience with distributed systems, high availability and scalability and observability in the cloud environment
  • Must be comfortable with AWS or GCP or Azure, preferably AWS
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of OpenApi specification
  • Hands-on experience with developer workflows (CI/CD pipelines, Git/Github workflows, Jira, GitOps, Github Actions)
  • Knowledge of cloud billing, metering and throttling is desirable
  • Experience with open-source frameworks is a plus.
